Miss Karissa
Karissa began her dance training at age eleven at the In Motion School of Dance in Bermuda. She fell in love with performing and worked hard to become a member of their Concepts In Motion Dance Company. She continued her dance training at the University of North Carolina School of The Arts where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Modern Dance. After spending some time performing for choreographers such as Martha Connerton, Duane Cyrus and E.E. Balcos, she decided to pursue her Master of Science in Athletic Training at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Karissa is currently working full-time at Carolina Practice & Sports Medicine as an Athletic Trainer with a special interest in Dance Medicine. She joined the Stage Door Dance team in August 2020 where she has enjoyed using her injury prevention knowledge to keep the dancers safe while training.
