Miss Erica

Miss Erica is originally from Maryland and relocated to the Raleigh area around 3 years ago. She’s been dancing since she could walk, but she really began studying the art form once she (finally) found some rhythm. Since then, teaching dance has become a lifelong passion. Miss Erica is passionate about creating a fun, encouraging environment where every dancer feels seen, supported, and confident.

Year started at SDD: 2026

Favorite style of dance: Hip-Hop & Jazz

Favorite ice-cream flavor: Butter Pecan

Favorite Disney movie: The Princess and the Frog

Age started dancing: 12 years old. I was a late starter compared to many dancers, but my passion wasn’t denied, it was just delayed. That’s what inspires me as a teacher. I want my students to know they should never compare themselves to others, but instead embrace their own unique gifts and trust their own journey.

What Makes SDD Different: What makes SDD different is the feeling of freedom you experience the moment you walk through our doors. There are no comparisons or unrealistic standards you have to meet to be considered a “good” dancer. We celebrate each dancer as a unique individual and pour that same mindset into every student, creating a supportive environment where they can grow with confidence.
