8 Things We’re Excited About for the 2026-2027 Dance Season at Stage Door Dance Productions
The 2026-2027 Dance Season is quickly approaching!
For the 2026-2027 Dance Season, we have many exciting, NEW updates to better serve our dancers and families.
Here are 8 of them!
1) MORE SPACE TO MOVE!
This summer, our Spotlight Space at SDD: Brier Creek will be converted to a dedicated acro and tumbling space, featuring strength and conditioning equipment.
2) EXPANDED PERFORMANCE TEAMS!
Our Performance Teams are expanding. We are thrilled to announce a new Performance Team program at SDD: Lake Boone as well as expanded offerings at SDD: Brier Creek.
3) NEW CLASSES!
You will see a variety of new classes on our schedule, including:
Dance Team Skills
Pom
Cheer & Tumble
Breakdancing
Boys’ Crew
Variations
Floor Barre
Strength & Conditioning
4) INTRODUCING THE CONSERVATORY DIVISION!
For students that are interested in hyper focused, multi-day training, we are launching a new Conservatory Division at SDD: Brier Creek.
5) COST CONSCIOUS COSTUMING!
We have been exploring ways to be more cost conscious for our year-end costuming.
This year, you’ll see cost conscious costume bundles for multiple styles, meaning you can dance more, perform more, and spend less on costuming.
And, as always, the costumes will be age-appropriate and family friendly.
6) REDESIGNED YOUNG DANCER DIVISION!
For the first time in the studio’s history, we are replacing the Little Stars, Twinkle Tots, and Kinder Sparkler labels with more straightforward divisions.

Preschool Dance & Acro (3s)
PreK Dance & Acro (4s)
This should help our new families understand where to start within our program and helps expand our focus on early childhood development in ways that are applicable to each age.
7) HOLIDAY SHOW!
For the first time since 2009, our Holiday Show returns.
We can’t wait to bring the magic to life in December 2026.
8) MORE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!
We will be rolling out a new Junior Leadership Program for participants in Grades 3-5.
Plus, we will continue to elevate the involvement of our National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA).
Most exciting, we have been approved as a TED-Ed Student Talks program, which will help our young leaders share and spread their ideas!

Remember, these are only the NEW things that are coming to SDD!
Everything else we do will continue to be focused on our standards of excellence in technique, performance, community, and character. We believe dance is a great avenue for each child reaching his/her fullest potential and are excited to partner with you on your child’s journey!
